Meridian Launches God’s Closet, Overwhelmed by Response

When Meridian Church pastor Michael Pearson encouraged his church members to prayerfully consider developing acts of kindness projects to reach people in their community, church treasurer Beverly Logan had an idea: Maybe we should organize a God’s Closet.

A local church community services initiative started by lay members in 2009 and supported by North American Division (NAD) Adventist Community Services (ACS), God’s Closet is gaining momentum and being embraced by local churches divisionwide.

Nampa Church Hosts Diabetes Workshop

As a follow-up to the Boise AMEN (Adventist Medical Evangelism Network) Clinic held in April, the Nampa (Idaho) Church hosted a Diabetes Undone Workshop for eight weeks. Of the 13 participants, five came from the community.

Spanish Churches Hold Great Weekend for Greater Future

On the weekend of Aug. 18–19, 2017, the youth of the Idaho Conference Spanish churches participated in an event just for them: Youth Impact: Called to Be the Sermon.

This time the event was divided in two parts: one for the Treasure Valley Spanish District and one for the Southeastern Idaho Spanish District. 

BVAS Students Dream Big

The upper grade students of Boise Valley Adventist School (BVAS) had the opportunity to dream big when the Dream House project was presented to their class.

The Dream House project is something teacher Simon Chung has incorporated into his curriculum and implements in every classroom.    

The Dream House project is oriented toward STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and incorporates several subjects, including math for calculating area, technology for research, writing skills for creating fliers, and engineering and art for integrating design features.

Camp Meeting Sees Video Miracle

Just before the final meeting of camp meeting with Alex Rodriguez from Voice of Prophecy, Ryan McCoy and the video support team began to go through routine video equipment checks. When McCoy didn't see the normal feed show up on his screen from the platform presentation-capture equipment, he reported the problem to Brian Yarbrough, an audiovisual team member, and he and Rodriguez began troubleshooting. 

Hilltop Adventist School Sees God Working Every Day

At Hilltop Adventist School, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the best time of our day is when we slow the pace down to praise our heavenly Father for all His many blessings through prayer, praise, Scripture or chimes.

As we reflect on the past few years at our wonderful school, it gives us an incredible feeling of just how the Holy Spirit has moved, has guided and continues to be present in our work, not only with educating young people but, most importantly, leading them to Jesus.
