Midweek Family Night a Success

July 01, 2011 | Jael Baldwin

On March 9, the Albany (Ore.) Church kicked off a 13-week trial of a midweek Family Night, offering several different classes.

In addition to the already existing Bible-study group that met at the church on Wednesday nights, Vonda Fairchild offered Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University and Frances Carpenter conducted Eden's Way cooking and health class. The cooking class included so many yummy samples at the end of each presentation that people from other classes trickled into the fellowship hall at the end of the evening to see what was to eat! Several volunteers also provided a program for the children of the attendees.

Family Night has been a success. This round of classes will end June 1. After taking the summer off, Albany plans to resume Family Night in the fall and hopes to see you there.
