Yakima Teachers Among America's Who's Who

Yakima Adventist Christian School is proud to announce that six teachers have been selected for the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, 2006. The teachers were nominated by students who have been included in the Who’s Who of American High School Students.

Patrick Frey has taught at YACS for two years. He is the YACS principal and teaches seventh- through 10th-grade sciences and ninth- and 10th-grade English. Frey is an energetic, imaginative teacher who is a friend to students.

Karen Wasiczko has taught at YACS for 16 years, first as ninth- and 10th-grade homeroom teacher and these last three years as our fifth- and sixth-grade teacher. Wasiczko stresses responsibility, organization and flexibility while helping the students remember to put Jesus first every day.

Shirlie White has been teaching music at YACS for eight years. She has established a well-rounded music program, which includes beginner, intermediate and advanced bands, choir and a select harmony choir.

This is Delmar Wolfkill's first year at YACS. He uses technology and current world problems to encourage his students to become an integral part of their world.

Every teacher at Yakima Adventist Christian School prays for their students daily. They teach because they want to help each student achieve his or her potential. The entire faculty at Yakima Adventist Christian School strive to make a difference in the lives of their students every day.
