Puyallup Women Attend Mini Retreat

May 01, 2005 | Lori Cockerham

The Puyallup Church recently held their first women’s mini retreat entitled, His Eye Is on the Sparrow. The retreat was open to all ladies age 16 and up. About 60 women participated, 10 of whom were visitors. The special guest speaker was Wilma Bing, Washington Conference women’s ministries director. Bings’ talks explored the various aspects of God’s loving watch care over us.

Besides lots of inspiration and good music, the women had the chance to receive and give foot massages; watch pain-relieving demonstrations and learn relaxation techniques for the head, neck and shoulders; and experience natural facials with recipe handouts to try again at home. In addition, there were demonstrations on how to assemble a simple scrapbook page and put together a handmade card to take home.

Marjie Noll and her planning team did a wonderful job providing a spiritual blessing for all the participants.
