Montana Pastors Attend Living Hope School of Evangelism

Several Montana Conference pastors had the opportunity to attend Mark and Ernestine Finley's Living Hope School of Evangelism for one week in April. The trip was sponsored by the ministerial department in cooperation with conference administration. 

Miles City Hosts Evangelism Weekend

The Miles City Church in Montana hosted Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism (AFCOE) on the weekend of April 21–22. More than 80 people attended the program as Chuck Holtry, AFCOE director, presented such topics as the cycle of evangelism, reclaiming missing members, friendship evangelism and our divine commission as Seventh-day Adventists.

Halvorsen Turns Down Montana Invitation

Ron Halvorsen Jr., Ohio Conference president, has turned down the Montana Conference invitation to serve as its next conference president. Halvorsen was elected by Montana delegates at the June 18 constituency session to replace Merlin Knowles who has retired.

Halvorsen, who served from 2002–2005 as pastor/chaplain at Mount Ellis Academy in Bozeman, Mont., said that both he and his wife, Buffy, believed the Lord still wanted them to continue their ministry in Ohio.

Valley View Adventist Christian School Celebrates Miracles

During the past 70 years God has provided Christian education for the community of Glendive, Mont. The mission of this small rural Adventist church has operated a Christian elementary school, nearly every year, for the children of its church, as well as members of the community. This is a school where children can learn of God’s great love along with their other lessons.

Townsend Sees Jesus Through Free Glasses

One little church with an average membership of about 15 regular members in Townsend, Mont., had a big dream: to bring free vision care to a small community in central Montana that lacks an optometrist. Ronan Church Shares Through 'Soup-er' Bowl

The Ronan Seventh-day Adventist Church “Soup-er" Bowl No. 8 was as exciting as Tom Brady’s performance in the 51st NFL Super Bowl.

To create some friendly rivalry the Ronan Church divided the drive into two separate teams. With the same goal in mind, teams set out to collect as many cans of soup for this worthy cause. After all cans were counted and the final tally was in, the Jackson Jackies — for the second year in a row — defeated the Adam’s Anteaters.

Highland View Christian School Celebrates Project Completion

Montana's Butte Church family took time on Jan. 21 to celebrate all the major projects being completed at adjacent Highland View Christian School. All of the landscaping was finished and a lighted sign put in place at the school entry during summer and fall of 2016. Parents completed the final project of putting the playground together in October.
