Senior Thanksgiving Dinner

Despite the unusually frigid weather Thanksgiving week, Mid-Columbia Adventist Christian School in Hood River, Ore., continued plans for their annual Senior Thanksgiving dinner. A special invitation was given to all grandparents, but parents and friends were welcomed as well.

Students prepared the attractive invitations, and contact was made to the Hood River News Department inviting anyone in the community to come, visit the school and get acquainted.

Students also tested their art skills by creating table and wall decorations, which depicted early American lifestyles.

After the opening prayer by Peter Hardy, principal, Elaina Mathisen led her Kindergarten class in singing two songs while she played her flute. They also signed the words as they sang.

Upper-grade teacher Bobbie DeWebber led the bell choir in several songs followed by group singing to end the program.

Though visitors were fewer in number this year, all those who attended expressed joy and appreciation for all the work and entertainment.
