Peaceful Valley Christian School Holds Graduation

Nearly 60 people attended a graduation and promotions ceremony for Peaceful Valley Christian School June 5 at the Oroville (Wash.) Church. Seven students were promoted and the only eighth-grade student, Xandrix Kenn Montecalvo, graduated.

Montecalvo chose "Through Straight Paths" for his aim and "Keep Moving Forward" for his motto. His colors were blue and green, and his text was Proverbs 3:5–6, which says, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Montecalvo's mother, Jojie Scklor, and his sister, Kaytte Montecalvo, sang "You're the Wind Beneath My Wings, and Pat Scott, elder, gave the address talking about how the eagle tenderly cares for the young and teaches them to fly. Montecalvo plans to attend Upper Columbia Academy in the fall.
