HARRIS — Edna Doris (Maier), 87; born April 27, 1926, Bowdle, S.D.; died April 22, 2014, Portland, Ore. Surviving: husband, Harold "Jack"; son, Lance, Portland, Ore.; daughter, Karyl Dupée, Garden Grove, Calif.; brother, Harlan Maier, Stockton, Calif.; and 4 grandchildren.

Jack and Edna were married Dec. 23, 1945 and were together for 68 years.

With Jack, Edna co-led the Adventist Retirees Association of North America. In that role she was an effective support to many people who were dealing with illness and loss. Her life is interesting and inspirational.
