HANLEY — Joan Audrey (Peake), 90; born June 29, 1928, Menomonie, Wis.; died peacefully Feb. 16, 2019, in her home in Portland, Ore. Surviving: daughter, Sharon Aaltonen, Portland; daughters and sons-in-law, Karla and Gary Bale, Nampa, Idaho; Linda and Kevin Johnson, Portland; sisters, Nancy Echelbarger, Walla Walla, Wash.; Patricia Clark, Tigard, Ore.; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Joan Audrey Hanley passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family and with a sincere faith in the salvation of Jesus Christ. She was born on June 29, 1928 in Menomonie, Wisconsin in her grandmother’s home and in the same bed that her own mother was born in. Audrey loved people. She nurtured and enjoyed friendships that lasted over 70 years. She was an excellent cook and was always ready to share meals with those who needed one. She lived her life filled with unconditional love for those around her. Her life was a living example of Ephesians 4:32, Be kind to one another, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
