GROTH — Robert L., 81; born 1936, Everett, Wash.; died Jan. 29, 2018, Killeen, Texas. Surviving: son, William Groth; daughters, Adrianna Wells and Aleida Vangeli; daughter-in-law, Donna Groth; sister, Dorothy Gayle; 5 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert L. Groth, passed away Jan. 29, 2018, in Killeen, Texas, at the age of 81 of an unsuspected disease, Pulmonary Fibrosis.

He is pre-deceased by a sister, Betty McGuire, and mother, Maria Groth.

Robert was a sweet and caring father. He loved his children unconditionally as they did him. He was a former member of the Edmonds Church for many years and ran the tape ministry, in addition to being a door greeter. Since moving to Killeen in 2000, he had been the greeter every Sabbath for years at the Killeen Church. Robert received such great joy from the posts he held at these two churches during his life. We can imagine him greeting everyone just as warmly at the pearly gates of heaven one day.

Thank you to those that were his friends and acquaintances and for enriching his life over the years. My father's wishes were to not have any funeral service or memorial, but we will hold a small family gathering. If you are inclined to make an extra tithe donation in his memory to your church, I know he would appreciate that gesture. He was faithful with his tithes to the end.
