HOOPER — Harriet U. (Schwender), 95; born May 21, 1922, Bridgeport, Neb.; died June 5, 2017, Glendale, Calif. Surviving: son and daughter-in-law, Jim Hooper and Kathy Lutz, Oakland Hills, Calif.; son, Dan Hooper, Sunland, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Dick Lind, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Harriet was the widow of Wayne Hooper, singer/song writer/composer of "We Have This Hope" and associated with the Voice of Prophecy for more than 40 years.

She was the first female head elder of Camarillo Adventist Church, in Camarillo, Calif., and served in that position for 10 years.

She emulated the "Proverbs 31 woman," adored her husband, devoted Mom to four children, an encouraging friend to so many.
