Northwest Prison Ministry Retreat

Prison Ministry offers hope and help to those affected by incarceration. The Retreat will:

  • Celebrate the miracles happening in the lives of inmates
  • Provide training for new and seasoned volunteers that work both inside and outside prison walls
  • Inspire and challenge all toward more effective and efficient service

Hell and Mr. Fudge movie based on the true life story of well-respected author, and theologian Edward Fudge, is scheduled to be shown in Castle Rock, Wash., on March 6 at 7 p.m. and March 9 at 4 p.m. The movie is an inspirational account of a man who risked losing his family, friends and career over the simple question: “What is Hell?”

Walla Walla University celebrates Black History month.

Friday night vespers: “Tribute to Nelson Mandela” presented by the Black Student Fellowship, at 8 p.m.

Sabbath, first church service at 9:25 a.m.: “Put Your War Clothes On,” presented by Carlton Byrd, Breath of Life Television speaker and senior pastor of Oakwood University Church.

Sabbath second service, 11:30 a.m.: “Make Jesus Famous,” presented by Carlton Byrd, also featuring a mass gospel choir under the direction of Andrew “Benji” Young with Wayne Bucknor on the piano.

Washington Conference Youth Rally

A youth rally is designed to help high school aged youth discover their place in the church. The day will feature powerful worship music, testimonies, drama, breakout sessions and engaging preaching, including featured speaker Dan Jackson, North American Division president.
