Prineville Holds Annual October Fest

Prineville is a small town with a small Adventist congregation. The church's beautiful sanctuary holds many more than attend on any Sabbath morning. But once a year, it's filled to capacity with folks from the community worshipping the Lord together. This annual October Fest community gospel concert brings together a variety of musicians and guests from community to praise God. The 2015 event was an exceptional blessing.

Bill Tallman always does an outstanding job choosing and coordinating the musicians from various churches in town. Dominic Gates and his crew did an outstanding job with the sound. Ron Jahn makes everyone feel like family with his easygoing style as master of ceremonies. Linda Madsen and company worked hard in the kitchen and created an inviting atmosphere for folks to visit and snack after the concert.

The program began with "The Old Rugged Cross" and ended "What a Friend We Have In Jesus," and the song leaders felt blessed to look out the faces filling the sanctuary. It was truly like a taste of heaven to see so many people, young and old, with love on their faces as they sang to the Lord together.

Christians don't all share the same understanding yet, but they clearly all do share the love of their Savior.
