Molalla Women's Ministries Events

June 01, 2011 | Helen Shreve

The Molalla (Ore.) Church isn't very big, but nonetheless it has a vibrant and active women's ministries group. The new year was welcomed with an Informal Tea. This provided a chance for women to enjoy an afternoon with friends and to hear Caryl Jones speak on the importance of forgiveness.

In early March, nearly two dozen women spent Sabbath at Camp Adams, just outside of Molalla, with Jean Sequeira, who shared "In the Garden with Jesus." Sequeira and her husband, Jack, were planning a mission trip to Africa, and collected neckties as donated by church members for lay pastors in African villages. That day more than 100 neckties were collected by Molalla women. The evening vespers, presented by Ione Richardson, was followed by an evening of games and snacks around the fireplace.
