Pend Oreille Valley Adventist School Spring Program

August 01, 2010 | Earl Brockman

Recently the Pend Oreille Valley Adventist School put on a Sabbath afternoon Spring Program involving the whole student body. There were a variety of musical presentations, including a vocal trio, a vocal duet, a vocal solo, piano solos and a guitar quartet. Volunteer Ginger Brockman led the handbells through four songs. The students were also involved in a vocal choir and scripture recitations. The 13 students were joined by guest performers Kaleigh Bell and Alex Nichols. School Board chairperson Ann Waggoner sang "Above All" just before the highlight of the afternoon — a baptism. Dayv Lounsbury, Spirit Lake/Ritzville district pastor, baptized Matthew and Jared Wallen, twin sons of teachers Melissa and Jeff Wallen. Dayv had not only been studying with the boys for some time, but also visited the school regularly and helped teach guitar lessons.
