Pend Oreille Valley Adventist School Marks Good Year

The Pend Oreille Valley Adventist School held a special ceremony to celebrate the end of the school year. The program included music (piano solos, bell choir and chimes), recitation of scripture and a recounting of the year's miracles. Staff, parents, pastors and friends prayed for the 15 students at the school and presented them with a framed picture by artist Nathan Greene. A highlight of the evening was the baptism of two students with another two planning for baptism the following Sabbath.

Jeff and Melissa Wallen and Michelle-Pierce Bowell are teachers for the school. Doug Pond, pastor, helps with physical education and conducts baptismal classes.

In other school news, a major accomplishment to the physical plant this year was siding, insulating and sheeting the school gym, made possible with an Upper Columbia Conference grant of $20,000.
