Bonners Ferry Begins Band Ministry

Bob and Charel Anderson, retired music teachers, are too excited about music to stop teaching, so they began a band at the Bonners Ferry Church that meets weekly in the school gym. In four weeks it has grown to more than 36 members, ranging in age from 8 to 86. Many have never played a band instrument before. The instruments have come from pawn shops, Internet contacts and relatives. The Andersons report there are: four trombones, seven trumpets, two cornets, two french horns, one tuba, two euphoniums, two oboes, three flutes, six clarinets, one tenor saxophone, one bassoon, two percussion players and one string bass.
