Fort Belknap Wins Award at Mid-winter Fair

The Fort Belknap (Mont.) Adventist School received a third-place ribbon for their booth in the 39th annual Mid-winter Fair held Feb. 6–10 at Fort Belknap Indian Reservation.

The school's display featured student drawings, mobiles, books and dioramas, and provided information about Adventist education and the Native New Day Bible studies. Other reservation and community agencies also hosted informational booths at the fair.

Performances by native musicians, artisans and speakers make this a well attended event. This year, native speaker Dobie Weasel spoke about finding strength through a relationship with a personal God. Another event included a fashion show highlighting homemade clothing and costumes.

The fair, this year themed “Families are the Foundation of our Future," promotes healthy, drug-free living and strengthens the community as people share and support each other.
