ACN offers great Adventist Preaching

"That’s the best sermon I’ve ever heard!” exclaimed the 70-year-old member of a small mid-western congregation. His multi-church pastor, wanting only the very best for his congregation in his absence, had chosen a sermon from the premiere edition of "Adventist Preaching." The members enjoyed hearing Randy Roberts, University Church (Loma Linda, Calif.) pastor—a treat most of them would never have experienced if it hadn’t been for this DVD product by Adventist Communication Network (ACN).

"Adventist Preaching," offered quarterly in the DVD format, was created this year to replace ACN’s weekly "Adventist Worship Hour" via satellite. It was designed to be a resource for pastors and churches in addition to providing devotional material for the Adventist home.

Volume II, featuring Dwight Nelson and his 4-part series, "Majoring in the Minors," became a unique edition. Since the DVD also featured eight of Nelson’s favorite children’s stories, which he’s told to the kids of Pioneer Memorial Church (Berrien Springs, Mich.), ACN packaged it as "For Kids Too!" With this bonus, this volume became a great resource for Vacation Bible School, Sabbath School, children’s church and story hour. Each edition carries a personal interview with the speaker.

The third edition features Rear Adm. Barry Black, U.S. Navy chief of chaplains. His series, "Growing Stronger in Christ," was prepared for the week of spiritual emphasis at the General Conference.
