Volunteers Do a Number on the Valdez Church

A volunteer work crew from far-flung places descended on the beautiful Prince William Sound city of Valdez, Alaska, in May to replace the leaking roof on the local church. Through skill, teamwork and generosity, the old roof came off, new and better insulation was applied, and a new metal roof installed in record time. Church and community members joined the visiting team to make a long-needed dream become reality.

The out-of-town volunteer crew paid their own way and hailed from North Dakota, Washington, Tennessee and Maryland.
