What Adventist Education Means to Me
In Their Own Words
I believe in freedom of religion, not freedom from religion or freedom to enforce religion on others based on my beliefs, particularly acts of worship.
In April, nearly 600 Adventist medical volunteers gathered in San Francisco and Oakland, Calif., for the Bridges to Health outreach event. Over the course of three days, the group provided medical and dental services to almost 3,000 people. This medical mission trip was organized and sponsored by the Pacific Union Adventist-laymen's Services & Industries (ASI) chapter as well as the Pacific Union, Northern California, and Central California Conferences.
During his sabbatical, Adventist pastor Marvin Wray traveled more than 12,000 miles on his motorcycle to visit more than 70 churches in a six-week period. To most churches he was an anonymous biker and this gave him a unique glimpse into the life and mission of Adventist churches. What worked and what didn't? Hear what Pastor Wray has to say in this video.
