SAGE Plans Spectacular Celebration For Its 25th Anniversary
Are SAGE seniors worn out after 25 years of volunteer work? Not at all! And they have a lot to celebrate!
SAGE (Seniors in Action for God with Excellence) has flowered in several other conferences across North America, and all former members and officers of SAGE-Washington and other SAGE-type organizations are invited to meet at the Washington Conference Office to reminisce and be inspired by what God has done through seniors who aren’t ready for their rocking chairs yet!
You can look forward to hearing two outstanding speakers. Ralph Watts (former SE Asia Union president and ADRA director), who oversaw the evacuation of Vietnamese workers at the end of that terrible war, will tell about the dramatic experience of God’s protection, and Stephen Chavez (Assoc. Editor of Adventist Review) will share stories about early Adventist mission workers.
A lovely memory book of SAGE highlights through the past quarter-century is being prepared for each family or individual who attends.
Delicious box lunches will be provided for everyone who registers with the SAGE secretary at the conference office (253-681-6008), so be sure to call and register. All present and former SAGE officers and secretaries will be honored with a special SAGE memento.
Mark Lauren is preparing a video of SAGE’s most recent mission trip to Kenya to build a dormitory at Kajiado Rescue Center in honor of his father, Dr. Ken Lauren, who passed away during last year’s mission trip in Costa Rica. There will be a time to pass the mic for those of you who have special memories to share.
