Collaboration Provides Quality Education

The students at Cedarbrook Adventist Christian School (Hadlock, Wash.) and Poulsbo (Wash.) Adventist School spent two days together this fall studying chum salmon runs on the Olympic Peninsula.

The chum salmon can be identified by the molted dark skin and dark vertical blotches as they return to the rivers to begin spawning in the summer or late fall.

Students visited Greg Reseck's farm and enjoyed playing in the barn, taking hayrides and feeding horses.

Western Deaf Camp Meeting Celebrates 40 Years

The annual Western Deaf Camp Meeting was held July 9–16, 2017, at Milo Adventist Academy in Days Creek, Ore. This was an exciting event because this was the 40th anniversary of this camp meeting. This camp meeting was nearly historic with a large attendance of 143 people. Only one other year saw more people. People came from all over the United States including Iowa, Virginia, Maryland, Arkansas, Texas, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. 

Milo Students Help Neighbors

Students at Milo Adventist Academy in Days Creek, Ore., recently took a school day to help elderly neighbors in their community. Milo has had a long tradition of helping with community needs over the years, but Neighbor Day became an official school program when Carl Wilkens was pastor of the Milo Academy Church.
