CAA Knowledge Bowl Team Real Winners

Columbia Adventist Academy's Knowledge Bowl team ended the season on a victorious note by placing first in their division at the Southwest Washington Regional Meet Monday, Feb. 23.

The team, which consists of Ramon Aguayo, junior; Melody Morales, sophomore; Lisa Reeves, sophomore; and Christopher Sanderson, freshman, participated in four regular season round-robin matches during this season. They, along with 36 other varsity teams from the region, traveled to Lower Columbia Community College in Longview, Wash., for the regional championships. The day's activities included a written round and two oral rounds to determine which teams would be matched up for a final championship round. The championship round was the round where everything was on the line for regional standing. CAA played well and ended the championship round tied with one other school, necessitating a tie breaker round of 10 additional questions. CAA'S team breezed through the questions, correctly answering five questions to their opponent's one correct answer. They were proud to represent their school and excited to come home with a new trophy.

CAA values good sportsmanship, excellent academics and positive representation of its values—Knowledge Bowl is an activity which provides an opportunity for all three.
