All Things are Possible With God at Rathdrum VBS

When it came to Vacation Bible School, the little church plant in Rathdrum, Idaho, felt there was no way to host one.

They had only seven or eight people available to help, and some of those were not able to come every day. Another problem: There was no suitable building where they could do a program. But God delights in taking “impossibles” and transforming them to “possibles!”

Todd Parker, Bible worker, and his wife, Gina, led out, even though it was their first time to plan and implement a program like this. Todd found the church could rent the buildings in the city park for the week. They jumped on that, as the park had all the facilities they needed.

They named their program Creation Day Camp. God opened a way for some free advertising shortly before Vacation Bible School began on July 28. They were asked to have a booth at Rathdrum Days on July 19, where they did health screening, a simple craft for children, and handed out fliers about the soon-coming Creation Day Camp.

Members prayed for workers, and called everyone they could think of to help. God brought together a wonderful team and blessed the program with amazing success! There were between 42–69 enthusiastic children daily.
