Canyonville Church Hosts April in 'Paris'

April in Paris was the theme for a special evening hosted by the Canyonville Church’s fellowship team on April 20. Members invited friends to enjoy French cuisine, fellowship and music performed by local talent. Ingeborg Leibold and Letha Mitchell, local artists, created a setting reminiscent of France, and the delicious four-course meal prepared by the fellowship team and friends completed the theme.

Church youth, dressed in black pants and white tops, were attentive servers. Musical selections included a vocal solo by Sandy Romero and piano pieces by Teresa Wilkens, including a lively rendition of “Nola.” Lynne Hollister read the touching story of a man and his wife miraculously reunited after World War II. The elementary students, directed by their Ed Hollister, teacher, performed several numbers on the hand chimes, bringing a delightful evening to a close with “As the Deer Panteth for the Water.”
