Temptation [iBelieve]

"Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Matthew 4:1-3 (ESV)

Adventist Ministries Convention 2017: Compassion Movement Outreach Project

Attendees devoted several hours of their time during the North American Division (NAD) Adventist Ministries Convention in Tucson, Ariz., to serve the local community by assisting two under-resourced public schools through Tucson Serve the City (in partnership with 4Tucson). At the Elvira Elementary School project volunteers painted approximately 700 sq. ft. of brick wall; added fresh paint to an existing desert scene mural; swept walk ways; raked leaves from playgrounds; and assisted with a door-cutting project from the kindergarten.

One Day at Walla Walla University

“Walla Walla College stirred to life well before dawn on Wednesday, December 7, 1892,” wrote Terrie Dopp Aamodt in her book “Bold Venture: A History of Walla Walla College.” The school was primarily a residential campus then as it is today. The Administration Building—the only building on campus at the time—housed classrooms, kitchen, dining hall, worship facilities, and was home to nearly all faculty and students.

The Chosen One [iBelieve]

The New Testament story of Jesus, the true Chosen One and the greatest hero of all, we begin with a look into his family history, his genealogy, for clues about what this particular hero is all about. The first thing we encounter in Matthew 1:1-17 is a careful account of how a lineage of men can be traced from Abraham (the founding father of the Jewish faith) to “Joseph, the husband of Mary, [...] the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah” (Matthew 1:16).

Incarnation [iBelieve]

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:1-5, 14 NKJV)

Birth of Jesus [iBelieve]

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:10-12 ESV

Soulmate [iBelieve]

Now Laban had two daughters. The name of the older was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. 17 Leah's eyes were weak, but Rachel was beautiful in form and appearance. 18 Jacob loved Rachel. And he said, “I will serve you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.” 19 Laban said, “It is better that I give her to you than that I should give her to any other man; stay with me.” 20 So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her.” Genesis 29:16-20 ESV

Jacob's Family (Lie To Me pt. 2) [iBelieve]

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son, of whom it was said, “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back. By faith Isaac invoked future blessings on Jacob and Esau. By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, bowing in worship over the head of his staff.” Hebrews 11:17-21 ESV
