Adventist Volunteer's Provide Bridges to Health

In April, nearly 600 Adventist medical volunteers gathered in San Francisco and Oakland, Calif., for the Bridges to Health outreach event. Over the course of three days, the group provided medical and dental services to almost 3,000 people. This medical mission trip was organized and sponsored by the Pacific Union Adventist-laymen's Services & Industries (ASI) chapter as well as the Pacific Union, Northern California, and Central California Conferences. “We were working together for one goal — sharing Christ with those who are most in need,” said event organizer Lela Lewis, a physician from Ridgecrest, who serves as Pacific Union ASI Pacific president. The story is featured in June issue of the Pacific Union Recorder.
