Bible Study Tour to Turkey

The Upper Columbia Conference Office of Education is sponsoring a Bible Study Tour to Ancient Hittite Sites as well as to some of the Seven Churches. Visiting these ancient Biblical sites make the Bible come alive.

You will tour Istanbul seeing the Spice Market and the Topkapi Palace. You will visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara, tour ancient Hittite sites of Hattusas, Yazilikaya, and Alacahoyuk. You will take a morning drive to Sille ruins and on to Konya. You will also visit ancient Lystra and Pisidian Antioch, Laodicea and Hierapolis and tour the ancient ruins of Ephesus. From there you will tour the Bodrum Castle. The final stop will be back in Istanbul to see the Chora Church, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. You will stay in four and five star hotels, travel in a private deluxe coach.

The tour will once again be hosted by Dr. Carl P. Cosaert, Walla Walla University Biblical Studies Professor. An expert Turkish guide, Hakan Edime, will accompany the group as well.

"There is no course on the Bible, no study of geography, no book on history or archaeology can ever give more insight into the Bible than a tour of the Mediterranean world itself. We hope you can join us for a tour you'll never forget."

The cost of the tour is $1,995 per person, plus international airfare. The price is based on double occupancy of the room. This cost includes two domestic flights once in Turkey, entrance fees for all tour sites and museums, breakfast and supper each day, guide and driver tips. Teachers, pastors and lay members are welcome.

If you want to register for this tour or have questions, feel free to call Sharon Searson at 509-994-9334 or email. Space is limited, so act soon.
