Free Vegan Cooking Classes

The Eugene Church will be holding another in our ongoing series of vegan cooking classes on Monday from 6:30–8:30 p.m. This month we will demonstrate healthy snacks.

Join us as we demonstrate recipes and samples of healthy snacks you and your family will love. This month, our menu is:

Children’s Ministries Training Workshops

Are children a part of your life? Do you lead in children’s areas? Do you pray for more effective ways to spiritually impact children either in your home, ministry or outreach? 

This year at Rocio Rojas, Upper Columbia Conference Camp Meeting North American Division speaker, will teach five workshops for impacting children and pre-teens: Bible Learning activities, Learning Styles/Temperaments, Meeting the Needs of 21st Century Kids, Teaching Children to Think, and Teaching from Nature.

Food for the Fast Lane

Join us as we share organic plant-based fast food recipes for a busy life, presented by Stephanie Erick, Judy Hernandez, and Ruth Rogers. We will be using simple but delicious recipes you can recreate with ease at home. Vegan recipe demonstrations, food samples, and tips on how to convert your old favorite recipes into nutritious alternatives by eliminating the oil. The menu includes Basic Granola, Zucchini Brownies, Harvest Loaf/Muffins and Pulled Jackfruit Sandwiches.

"Hands On" Gardening Work Shop

Learn from Lynn Hoag of SunCountryGardens.com (via DVD) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Learn how to grow even better than the best organic healthy, tasty fruits and veggies, using Ellen G. White methods and more ... Bring your lunch, garden rake and shovel.

Lynn Hoag will teach the class in person on May 15.

Cost $25 per person/couple ... free to previous attendees ... or ... bring someone new and get $5 credit.

Nutrition Class at Eugene Church

The Eugene Church is happy to sponsor a very special Nutrition Class, hosted by Jim and Neva Brackett, authors of several inspirational cookbooks, including Best Gourmet Recipes and 7 Secrets Cookbook. Their ministry, Live Better Seminars, is a six-day residential education program that provides information about healthy living and eating, and provides instruction in preparing healthy and nutritious meals.

The Bracketts have agreed to present a special abbreviated series of lectures and cooking/nutrition classes on Sunday, Feb. 28 and Monday, Feb. 29.

Vegan Cooking Class

Heart Healthy Cooking Class

Join us for a whole foods, plant-based meal with a 50’s Theme Burger Bonanza! In addition to the meal, Philip Paden, M.D., of Paden Eye Care will present the latest research correlating plant-based nutrition with the prevention of heart disease.

Depression The Way Out Intro Class

There will be a FREE Intro class to the upcoming "Depression The Way Out" 8-week class. All are welcome to this free introduction class. Come see if this class if right for you.

Neil Nedley, M.D. is the video presenter and founder of "Depression The Way Out." This 8-week course is geared for those experiencing depression or anxiety. The presentations build on one another and give practical principles and tools to help combat depression.

The first class of this 8-week course will be on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m.
